So yet another update bringing you closer to me (x posted to my other journal). I'm still here surviving and mostly having fun. As most of you know i stopped working at Bru back in March after being sick i was sort of let go. It was a bummer and i can't say i'm not bitter, but c'est la vie as they say. Rather than just a 3 week stint at Premier, i'm now going on month 3 of working there. I quite enjoy it and its a good environment. Matt now has a job too, working as a web developer at a company here called Qumas (which incidently has its other office based in Florin Park, NJ...). Still relatively meek on the friends side (i'm not sure thats the correct description of the situation, but it works). We've got a good group of friends, albeit not big, but good. The weather here has been slowly slowly warming up. Though it's never above 65. But when its nice we try and jump on it. We went to this huge wildlife park called Fota with our mate Katrin last Sunday. They have every animal under the sun--bisons, cheetahs, penguins, giraffes, emus (or e-moos as i like to call them) and even kangaroo's. Some pics to share....
Isn't he cute?
Matt can get really close to them--i think it must be an Aussie thing :-)
Aren't we cute? Funny how Ireland looks like the safari...
Who really needs all those feathers!?!
And of course all of you know it was my birthday 2 weeks ago. Despite worrying about things i had a wonderful birthday. I woke up and not only got birthday presents but the easter bunny had come and left stuff all over our apartment. And then i got the coolest present ever--a homemade flight/travel case for my turntables.
It even doubles as a place for me to put my computers and stuff!!
So yea, life it relatively quiet. We still don't have the &*!#9&% internet but are now a step closer as we finally have a new phone line in (drop me an email if you'd like the new number).
I miss you guys all loads, hope all is well.
XXX,
Lindsay
