Well, i finally have a home. Not a room yet, but a home. Amy and i found a place in an area in southeast london called Herne on Hill. SE26, that's right i'm back to the "dirty south side". It's right between Brixton (Londons uh, infamous neighboorhood) and Camberwell. It's a cute 4 bed house with a back patio with a rose bush. However we have to wait a week 'til we get the 2nd bedroom however we move into the first one on Friday. Amy's just stuck sharing a room with me. I'll post the address on Friday or sometime this weekend.

London's been well, despite a drought theres been random spouts of rain downpours. Which are fine unless you're walking around in Teva sandals (i've been told by an aussie that i'm not allowed to call them sandals and indeed they're flip flops or thongs but never a sandal) and continue to slip and slide. Thankfully i managed not to fall although i had a huge wipe out when we were walking with our future landlord on Monday. Making lots of new friends. And, i even went on a date. Can't remember the last time i had a proper one of those. Good times. All the aussies make me miss working @ the Rat and Parrot and my best aussie mate Therese (see last years entries for info on her)... I wonder what happend to her.

In any event been playing friend to loads of American high school chums that have come over. Sure people come to visit me now when i'm homeless but when i had an awesome house last year, who came. No one (well other than Mark Helmsing). I feel really bad about not being able to host anyone yet but first things first, i need a room before i can put people up. Come to think of that, i need a job too. Eh, one thing at a time. I'll prolly work on my CV (resume) tonight. Funny how subtle differences between countries matter. It's great seeing everyone tho. Just to clarify for anyone calling me, you drop the 0 before my number. I heard there was some confusion about it. (ahem thats a subtle hint to call and say hi).

My laptop is acting up quite bad and i'm beginning to fret at the idea of not having a computer. Must work on that one. So i appologize if i'm not online a lot in the next few days.

Lots of Love from London,
Lindz

SHE'S BACK.....................

Well thats right kids. I've returned to the sunny old shores of England. Which actually are quite sunny despite 2 first rainy and cold days. Chris graciously picked me up at the airport and my flight was uneventful despite the fact it was an old DC-10 (so no real movie watching) although it took me over an hour to get through immigration and passport control. Stupid lines.

I had the pleasant discovery of finding out that my bank account wasn't only just open but had infact over £100 in it. I must have gotten a paycheck after i left London and didn't realize it. Score for me!

I'm now in the incredibly arduous task of finding somewhere to live. I've looked about about 6 properties (most of which were crap with 2 exceptions) however am slightly constrained about the cost. I've probably phoned at least 30 by now. Boo. Amy however arrives tomorrow and so i'm hoping to have some success with her along. Given that she too will be living there.

Still jobless but i'm quite hopefully.

Same mobile number for those of you who don't have it, email me.

All my love and a good pint of beer,
Lindsay
