"Life's funny, to a kid time always drags, and suddenly you're fifty"- Amelie
Well i'm not fifty but it definetly feels as though time here in London has flown by. Here i am in the last stretch and i'm finding myself wondering where the time has gone. Summers here and London is ROASTING in the heat. And i'm baking in my room with its poor ventilation and lack of AC. Everyone's packing up and some people have already left. Offically classes and whatnot end the 18th and then everyone is gone the 19th. Everyones talking about what thier looking forward to going home to but all i can think about is what i'm leaving behind.
I've decided to hang around an extra month in London presuming i can actually find somewhere to stay. That of course, is the big challenge. I suppose even more so that it means i'm actually out here on my own so to speak. No more being surrounded by Americans in the University Halls, No more having the safety of being able to call up friends if i'm bored. It's both scary and exciting and i imagine it will prove to be the experience i was looking for all along.
I may move in with Stina in her house up in Dollis Hill. Its in my price range and i'd have my own room. But we'll see where that ends up. I think i'm still in shock that everyones suddenly moving on to different places. Not just in terms of going home but in terms of thier lives...All my English friends are now done with University. For some reason they only have to do 3 years here. Not that i'm complaining about an extra year.
Things are good.
